Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 4, 2026
Emulation Ninja is a trade name for the Services described below. This policy explains how the data controller, 0845915 B.C. LTD. (British Columbia incorporation number BC0845915) ("we," "our," or "us"), handles personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (the "Services"). It is intended for users in North America, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, as well as elsewhere where we offer the Services. We collect only what we need to run the service and keep your account secure. Our Terms of Service govern your use of the product.
Who we are
For data protection law purposes, the controller of personal information relating to the Services is 0845915 B.C. LTD., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation number BC0845915).
For privacy requests, write to us at the address above or use the "Contact" section at the end of this policy (and the product support channel, if available).
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with the Services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
We do not build advertising profiles for sale and we do not sell your personal information. We limit collection to operating the Services, securing accounts, complying with law, and supporting you when you contact us.
- Account information. When you create or use an account, we process identifiers such as your email address, username, and authentication credentials (passwords are stored using secure one-way hashing; we do not store your password in plain text).
- Service data. We process data you choose to sync or store with the Services so features work as intended—for example, preferences, library associations, or other information your apps send to your account. We do not use this to advertise to you on other sites.
- Technical and security data. Like most online services, our servers receive limited technical data from your device and network, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device or app version, and timestamps. We use this for security, fraud prevention, debugging, reliability, and aggregated usage statistics.
- Support communications. If you contact us, we keep the content of your message and related metadata as needed to respond.
Legal bases (EEA, UK & CH)
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the Services you request (for example, account creation, authentication, and core functionality).
- Legitimate interests — processing necessary for securing the Services, preventing abuse, improving reliability, and understanding aggregated usage, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law.
- Consent — where we ask for it (for example, for certain cookies or optional communications). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate you and protect accounts;
- Detect, prevent, and address technical or security issues;
- Communicate with you about the Services (for example, security or policy notices);
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain records longer where required for security, disputes, or legal obligations, or in aggregated or de-identified form where permitted by law.
Your rights and data deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and (where applicable) not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal effect. We will verify your request where required by law.
Request deletion of your account and data
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information associated with it. Deleting your account is typically irreversible and may remove access to synced data, purchases tied to the account where applicable, and other features that require an account.
To start a deletion request, write to us at the postal address in the "Who we are" and "Contact" sections (attention: Privacy), or use the support channel we provide in the product. Include enough information for us to locate your account. We will confirm receipt and may ask you to verify your identity before we delete data. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal exceptions (for example, information we must retain for tax, fraud prevention, or security).
U.S. state residents
Several U.S. states provide additional privacy rights (including, in some cases, rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing). Because we do not sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising as described in our policy above, there may be limited opt-out rights to exercise in practice. If you are a resident of a state with a privacy law and wish to exercise your rights, contact us using the details in the "Contact" section. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights afforded by law.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We describe our practices in this policy; we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are used in the CPRA in the manner excluded by our statements above.
International transfers
We may process and store personal information in the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries that have not been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law—such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or Swiss adaptations—with supplementary measures where appropriate. You may contact us to request further information about these safeguards.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice if required by law (for example, by email or an in-app message).
