Emulation Ninja supports both state snapshots and native save data sync. Treating them as separate tools prevents data-loss confusion.

Cloud save states vs cloud SRAM/save files

  • Cloud save states: exact emulator snapshots for resume-at-the-moment recovery.
  • Cloud SRAM/save files: native in-game saves (battery and memory-card style data).

Recommended workflow

  1. Use in-game saves for long-term progression.
  2. Use save states for quick checkpoints or testing.
  3. Keep both synced when moving across devices.

Local save-file expectations

If local SRAM files are not detected:

  • Confirm expected save directory paths.
  • Verify file permissions and naming.
  • Re-sync after emulator updates.

Migration note

Community users also request transfer workflows from other launchers (save data, save states, emulator config, and play time), so keep backups before migrations.
